What a blessing we consider it to be in Haiti this week! The Mandarin Baptist, Ocean Park Baptist, and West Normandy Baptist mission team is keeping very busy! Monday, we worked on various projects at the
school, construction and painting in the orphanage, preparing for medical clinic, and Pastor Armando led a pastor’s conference at the church with at least 50 Haitian pastors. Monday afternoon...

Keles got a haircut…
Hmmm, this isn’t so bad… but wait
Is that Ronal cutting my hair instead of Papa Wilfrid?
He’s not looking. Maybe I can make a quick getaway!
Mama, aren’t you gonna help me?
Ta da! Now, will somebody please get this pink shirt off of me?

Keles, Joseph and RoodFaele 2008
Remember Keles? He HAD an awful and amazing story. One day a couple went out early to work in a sugar cane field an found an abandoned baby tied to a tree. Surprisingly, the baby was in fairly good condition. They took the baby into Cabaret and brought him to the police & to the judge. The police were not able to locate the parents, but the couple told the judge...

In February of 2007, I left the United States for the first time in my life and I had no idea that my life was going to change forever. Blindly, I had been going through the motions. The trip that my husband and I took to Haiti changed everything. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of Haiti and her people. When I heard this song for the first time...

I am only one,
But still I am one.
I cannot do everything,
But still I can do something;
And because I cannot do everything
I will NOT refuse to do the something that I can do.

A Musician?
A Doctor or a Nurse?
A chef?
A Pastor?
For I know the plans that I have for you,’
declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare
and not for calamity
to give you a future and a hope.

Welcome. We are starting this journal of our ministry to the people near Cabaret, Haiti as a way of sharing with others the amazing miracles our Lord Jesus is working each day.
We travel to the mission in Bercy, Haiti each month to oversee the work of the Jacksonville Baptist Association. It is our hope that through this journal you can learn more about the work of JBA-Haiti and become a part of it.
