We have had a steady rain since 4 p.m. yesterday (Thurs, 11/4). It goes from heavy to light rain. Right now it’s heavy. Thankfully we haven’t had much wind…just cool breezes (nice!!!!!!) Yes, several children have on long-sleeved shirts.
We have 47 happy children who are enjoying two days off from school. We need to find some… good rainy day activities for them. God has provided...

Our Orphanage in Cabaret survived the quake. Our children are fine. A part of our perimeter wall collapsed, but has been rebuilt. Our main need is still monetary donations. Click HERE to donate through PayPal.
As time goes on we are calling on all our churches and friends of Haiti to:
1- Pray
Please continue to pray for the safety and care of the people of Haiti. We must make sure our children...

Ok, A little Haiti Humor I’ve had to make up to get myself through this. It’s so HOT even when your in the cold shower your sweating! It’s so HOT even your anti-perspirant sweats! It’s so HOT your sweat is your pee! We have all grown in different ways on our mission to Haiti. In spite of the hard work, heat and bugs we have all fallen in love with the kids. They are really just like every other...

We all worked very hard again yesterday. It’s really a good team of people that G-d has put together. Chris is a plumber and they have been able to keep him busy with plumbing. Josh and Sam have worked very hard mixing stucco and painting. Dan and I painted yesterday and Pastor Russell and Jerry organized a huge tool shed. That looked like an impossible mission. Bill is fixing fans and computers....

It’s day two. Everyone woke up early because there are a few roosters that start crowing way before it is even daylight. The guys made breakfast actually I think it was Pastor Russell. We had pancakes and bacon. I understand why they tell you, you have to be the patient in Haiti because things change minute by minute.
The men worked on building fences, welding benches, plumbing and then they painted...

Day Ten – Today’s agenda: Shoe and food distribution; finish bathroom on second floor of church; treat people in the community with medical concerns; build a Samaritan’s Purse shelter/home; and, as always, play with the kids!
During the shoe distribution, a shoeless man was given a pair of shoes, which he rejected. He wanted a different pair and walked off, kicking his...

The departure day for the team began with a brief message on Acts 20, where Paul left on one of his missionary journeys. The message was regarding the fact that there is always a time to depart.
We dropped the Wood Run group off at the airport first, then headed off through PAP to get a check cashed and actually saw traffic lights and street signs. We stopped for souvenirs and cold...

We’ve had some kids at the orphanage sick with malaria this week, and they are better now. Everyone is careful to take their malaria meds. Today 20 orph kids and 21 adults piled into the 16-passenger van and old pickup truck and headed for the beach! We had fun when we finally got in as the gatekeepers wanted to charge more for the white Americans than the Haitians (a...

We feel blessed and comfortable here. Madline, 3 years old now has become a little “chunky monkey” as she is filling out from everyone feeding her! She came to the orphanage two years ago, when the Mandarin Baptist team was visiting and was near death. She stayed with Dorothy in Port Au Prince for two months, who nursed her back to health and now is the star of the...

Mike and Nick had to leave bright and early at 6 a.m., driving both vehicles to take part of Dan’s group (CPR3, who work on disaster relief and are staying with Shasta’s group) to the airport and then wait in Port Au Prince for two different arriving flights, an all day task. We all thought Mike would be discouraged spending all day at the airport, when actually he was able to...
