Soon after arrival, the team takes a tour of our facilities. These pictures were taken in our orphanage kitchen. 3 daily meals are prepared for our 28 resident children, and many of our 30+ employees.
This is a Haitian cooker. It’s kind of along the lines of a fish fryer & uses LP gas. One big difference- Haitian cookers are made from old tire rims!!
Campbell’s chicken soup is um-um good! Actually, I think this is tomato & salmon sauce. Most meals are some kind of sauce- salmon, bean, tomato, or vegetables, served over rice. Occasionally some chicken or goat meat is added- yum
