One More Blog from FBC, Live Oak

Haiti is so beautiful. From the people that live there to the mountains that are all over the island. You can’t explain it. The kids at the orphanage just want someone to love on them and give them attention. They are really amazing kids. They are funny and can make you smile like never before. Or when you make them smile, that’s the greatest feeling anyone could ever have. When all the kids got candy on new years and got to pop balloons like crazy, it so amazing to see all the smiles that were on the kids faces. There’s a boy there named Christopher who is just so precious. His sister, Jennifer Phelps, sent him some Christmas gifts and we got to watch him open them. He got an electronic solitaire game that he just loved! And to sit there and watch him learn how to play it and just love the game was so cool. He is so smart too. It didn’t take him long at all to figure the game out. All of the kids there are just amazing.

While we were there we went and visited the cholera clinic. We made cupcakes for the doctors there, to just say thank you for all they do. The clinic was supported by Samaritans Purse. The doctor that met us outside the clinic was very thankful and to see the smile on her face was just beautiful and just reminded me of all the hurt and pain that’s there and just the need for Jesus that is in Haiti. The doctors there everyday are treating people and helping them in the name of Jesus.
