The team are all well and loving life. We have enjoyed learning a new culture and laughing with new friends. Yesterday was quite an experience as we went to church and were able to worship through watching the Haitians worship our mighty Lord; what an inspiration! Today we are preparing to head out to Te Nwa (“The Mountain Area”) to meet the people and invite them out to a church service on Friday night. We are praying that God will bless this time as we pray and share the Gospel with new faces. Pray for the church plant in Te Nwa that has been experiencing growth and a new excitement; that the fervor for the Lord will grow.
We have much planned for this week, from building small homes (5 to be exact) to dance parties with the children at the Cabaret Baptist Children’s Home….yes dance parties to Justin Bieber! Our team has responded well to each challenge and have ALL stepped up to the plate for duties this week. Our teens will be teaching the Haitian teens the Word of God as well as sharing their testimonies at church services all throughout the week. One of our teammates (Bobby Highsmith) will be preaching his first sermon at a Haitian church service this Friday night; please pray that God uses his words in a mighty way.
We are looking forward to a great week and plenty of new and exciting experiences together. Mission trips have a way of bringing people together in a unique way….a very unique way! Praise God for the opportunity before us!
