Earthquake Update

Heard from Pierre Prinvil just after 11:00pm on Tuesday. Here is part of his message: “We are all doing ok. The children are fine. The orphanage, church and school’s building are ok.” He described that about 250 linear feet of the orphanage’s perimeter wall collapsed and is laying flat . We will need emergency funds and mission teams to help rebuild the wall.  He also stated that they are all sleeping outside tonight. Thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for the country. Port-au-Prince is suffering badly from collapsed buildings and many causualties. Continue praying for them and for JBA Haiti as we respond.

    David,

Thank you for the update and working so hard to understand what is happening on the ground there in Haiti. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people there. We know that we will need to do much to help in the days and weeks ahead. We stand ready! Oh God, please help and comfort the people of Haiti!

  3. Ian Hodges says:

Can anyone please tell me if there was a CA church group at this orphanage at the time? I had talked to my best friend 2 hours before the quake hit. She had said she was at an orphanage near the capital. Please email me if anyone knows anything xcarpedeimx@yahoo.com

  4. Mike Reed says:

Our hearts are broken to know that the people of Haiti must once again endure an hour of crisis. My heart breaks to think of those kids sleeping outside at the orphanage. We will stand with you in prayer and with help at this time. Our prayers are with you, David, as you determine the needs and seek God’s direction for the next step. We stand with you.

Hey David. I have thought about you all several times over the past few months but even more so with the recent tragedy. I am thankful to hear all are okay at the Orphanage. Thank you for all you guys do in the continuing love and support of the people of Haiti.

  8. Maria Quinn says:

David, I worked with Marie Prinvil about 12 years ago in the Language Missions Division at the FL. Bapt. Convention. If you can, please relay to her and her family that we are praying for her and her family and the kids at the orphanage, for their continued safety, for our Lord to bless and protect them in the coming days. Thank you.
