I promised some pictures of the medical stuff that went on a week or two ago- so here is one of the more than 300 families- not patients, but entire families =) that were treated.
This little boy fell on a machete- a common cause of injuries to little boys in Haiti!
The machete won!
Dr. Mike & Nurse Jana are summoned. The verdict- stitches are necessary.
Preparations are made in the suturing room (front porch).
Ugh! The worst part about stitches.
But this is one brave little guy. He doesnt‘ even make a whimper!
Dr. Mike stitches him back together in front of an audience- the only way anything happens in Haiti- en masse!
Fini! and a lollipop earned!

Thanks Dr. Mike!
