When I was told it was difficult to sleep in Haiti, I have to say I came prepared for the worst…after the first night I was completely stunned at how well I slept and how little noise there was. And then came night number two, most of us fell asleep early when it was relatively quiet so I assumed I would just sleep through the majority of the noise…but boy was I wrong. First the rooster started....

We arrived safely at the orphanage and were greeted by the smiles of the children. We unpacked our bags and went through a quick orientation. We were able to spend the afternoon loving on the kids and we were able to take a walk up the mountain. The weather is AMAZING. Cloud cover all day and high temps around 86. It is wonderful.
The “first-timers” have been taking it all in. They have all fallen...
