The San Jose Baptist Church team awoke today to another beautiful sunrise! Most of the team starts their day pretty early, around 5:45 a.m., since the sun comes up so early here in Haiti and your alarm clock–all the local roosters–wake up really early too!!

As every day this week, the San Jose Baptist Church team started the day with prayer and raising the flag over at the Cabaret school in the village. Everyone on the team had various projects to work on today at the orphanage and school.

The San Jose Baptist Church team started the day at the Cabaret school with the raising of the Haitian flag and singing the Haitian national anthem. We also prayed for the school children with the school staff. We then led the older school kids over to the Bercy Baptist Church and held a shortened VBS with them . We kicked off our VBS time with chanting “Fun, fun, fun in the name of Jesus”...

Thursday night is Bible Study night in Bercy. The Mandarin group led separate studies for men & women. Their topic- Sexual Purity. We had a great turnout in both classes. Even though it was a rainy evening (and remember, everyone walks to church) we had 25 or more in each class. Everyone enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity to open God’s Word and learn together. Mackenson Dupervil is in our K5 class. His birthday is 2/21/2003- so he’s 4 years old.Mackenson is also one of our own orphanage children. When his mother died last year Mackenson and his siblings went to live with their grandmother. Grandma was already raising some of her other grandchildren, so these additions brought the total number of children in her home to more than 14! Grandma does extremely...
