Sarah sees things from a slightly different angle sometimes, but if you stick with her before long things begin to right themselves!

These are photos we took as we visited some of our neighbors in the village with our Crown Point mission team.
Those giant hanging things in the tree are bundles of drying corn still in the husks all tied together. New to me.
Tim’s Sunday school class sponsors this little girl. He brought a gift of food to her Mom.and goodies for Mania, too.
This family is very active in our church. The little...

Little ones are learning to their colors & numbers.

Each day begins with hymn singing and a patriotic flag raising assembly.
And the school, teachers, and students are covered in prayer.
Each day children are fed 2 nutritious...

We are safe in Haiti. Our flight was delayed (what a surprise!) but all of our bags arrived with us! It was dusk when we left the airport, we made a couple of quick stops in town- one for gas & one for ice & bread- then headed north. It is not fun travelling on Route 1 after dark, as you can tell below, but we made it to the orphanage intact with the exception of a few fingernails that we...

Route 1 is a treacherous, desolate stretch of road that runs north and south the length of the country. It is Haiti’s main road. It is also in a terrible state of disrepair with huge holes, the sides of the road crumbling away, and completely washed out places. And that’s being nice. I decided to go get my hair trimmed before I left the US, so I went to the beauty shop Friday & had it done before the banquet. While I was there, I decided it was time to retouch the color and the nice sylist lady talked me into getting some highlights added. I agreed but told her I wanted subtle color, because I had an important evening and my style was a bit conservative.
Since when are pink...
