June’s medical clinic was very successful. We had a great team of willing hands, adequate medicine for the patients we saw, and we were able to provide both help & hope for many families from our village.
A lot of preparation goes into doing a clinic. It begins in the US with making contacts and gathering meds & supplies (and funding). Then everything has to be condensed & re-packaged....

Part of what I enjoy most about mission life in Haiti is the babies. I get to be Mama Cheryl to literally hundreds of children. My reward- more hugs and kisses than you can imagine.
This is Dourison (held by Juna who loves babies, too). Dourison is almost 3 months old and is the newest addition to our Haiti family. His mother is mentally ill and unable to care for him. She has abandoned him for days...

Some of our little princesses have responded to the Lord’s tugging at their heart recently and have prayed and accepted Jesus sacrifice and asked Him to come into their heart. What a wonderful privelege it is to lead a little one to the Lord!
We had a service of Baptism while our team was here to join with us in celebrating this most important event in these young lives.
Melina was the first...

Saw this on the way to the hospital with Micheline when we still thought that her leg was broken. Three hands? Holding up the world? This is a major intersection to points in Haiti. One tired traveler. 5:oo am haiti time to after 12 midnight U.S. time is a long time for such a short trip! We had many delays .
Micheline on the way to the hospital. There were big alligator tears behind those shades....

We’re back home and all is well! Thank you so much for your prayers. We took Micheline to a trauma center in Port-au-Prince run by Medicines Sans Frontiers. They x-rayed her leg, determined it wasn’t broken, gave her a shot and some pain meds, and we were on our way!
It was really scary to get that phone call that Micheline had been in an accident in the market and had been hit by truck-...

Emergency prayer request-
Micheline was hit by a tap-tap in Cabaret and has a huge knot between her knee & ankle. We are on the way to hospital in PAP to get it x-rayed- it’s probably broken.

We have the best Dads in the whole world! We love you! I found this poem that expresses some of what we feel.
My Dad’s Hands
By David Kettler
Bedtime came, we were settling down,
I was holding one of my lads.
As I grasped him so tight,
I saw a strange sight:
My hands. . .they looked like my dad’s!
I remember them well, those old gnarled hooks,
there was always a cracked nail or two.
And...
