When Rusty is not in Haiti ….or talking about Haiti, or gathering supplies for Haiti, or meeting someone about Haiti…. this is what he does! He drills water wells in Florida. Right now he’s got work in Jax, Palm Coast & Naples. It’s hard, dirty work with really long days…. and he loves it =)
Larry & Rusty go way back. Our families have been in the well-drilling...

The 3 old sofas have lived through the years before the church pavilion was completed, when services were held in the orphanage dining room.In those days the little grouping of couches with the carpet remnant became the nursery.
These couches have seen the orphanage grow from comfy cushions for the 4 children...

Just a couple of days laterthey were ready to try out their handiwork!

For children in Haiti this week was spent getting back in the routine of School after enjoying a Christmas break, just as it was for many of your children.I thought you might enjoy getting a glimpse of the JBA-Haiti mission school.
School begins at 7 am. Children are given a simple breakfast of bread & butter (peanut butter if we have any) or bananas or eggs. Morning exercises include a flag-...

On Fridays we have services at the “piti tent” or little church with the people of the mountains nearby. It’s a favorite day for the hardy team members to hike up the mountain and worship together with these special folks.
The path is narrow and rocky, mostly winding through fields and pastures.
One room houses made of sticks or mud dot the way up.
In some places the path is narrow...
