So, is it really only in the mid-70’s there and getting down below 50 at night??? Unbelievable.
It’s 10 o’clock and it’s still 85 degrees here.See what I look like It was over 100 on the upstairs thermometer today – it felt much better outside hanging up the clothes! I like hot weather better than cold, but it has been a bit of an adjustment with the cool snap we were...

Actually, everyday is washday around here! That’s the #1 reason we have a generator, to run our washing machine. We have a sweet, wonderful, hard-working wash lady. She always comes to work early and soon after you hear that great sound of the the Delco cranking up. Not today. I knew she was here she had kissed my cheek like she always does so I asked Rusty what was up? It seems the power blip...

In August we had a guy come down on team who was a computer genius. Only problem was that when he got here we didn’t have internet (most of the country was down) and had to wait til the company could get out here in the boonies from the big city of Port-au -Prince to install a new modem for us. It drove Mike crazy. He came to do computer stuff and couldn’t do very much of it until those...

Bet you thought I’d fallen off the face of the earth! Actually, I was ill for a while, and between that and trying to get my ducks in a row to return to Haiti, I just didn’t get anything on the blog. Sorry I’ll try and make up for lost time! We returned to fewer and much less serious problems than last month. Yay! Everything looks great- garden growing, trash picked up, even the...

… isn’t that the sweetest thing?
Mama Cheryl holding the timid little guy’s hand while fitting his new uniform.
NOT!!!
This picture is Mama Cheryl hanging onto this little guy for dear life so he doesn’t escape before I log him in to the computer. Organized chaos!! or maybe just plain chaos. I am trying to keep track of who has been fitted with uniforms and who is still...

Yaaaaaay!!! We met with Dr. Painter from Mission Harvest this morning and talked about SHIPPING
We have big problems getting our supplies & sponsor gifts to Haiti. In the past the best way to get stuff down was to hand carry 50lb. duffle bags. The airline allows ony 2 checked bags per person, so it was not easy to get everything we needed down. Trying to decide between formula & shoes,...

A couple of weeks ago we had the honor & privelege of escorting Mr. Toutoute to America. He is a pastor and a teacher in Sherrie’s school. He had never been on an airplane or even been out of Haiti. We were to see that he made it safely thru the Miami airport & on to Jax where he would be met by our friend Kathy who was his host for his 2 week US stay. He was so excited. He told me he...

Thanks to Tatum’s School Uniforms, who gave us a GREAT deal on uniforms, our school children are looking sharp this year!! We added a kindergarten and a pre-K class, bringing our total enrollment up to 170.That’s 170 children who are loved, told about and shown the love of Jesus, as well as fed 2 meals each day. Oh yeah, and they also get an education! Thank you Jesus for stretching us...
