A Mother’s Love

I was admiring and playing with a baby in her mother’s arms the other day when the mother said to me, ” You take her”. I was feeling the heat rise under my collar (easy to do in Haiti where the temp was 100+) at how easily a mother could hand over her child, but didn’t say that to her just told her that this baby girl was God’s precious gift to her and she should love...

I needed to take the new mom & baby to the Dr. to get checked out, & trying to be efficient, I loaded up 7 more kids- 6 for immuniztions & 1 for pink eye. Children’s Church

Once a week we go up onto the mountain for a worship service at our mountain mission church “Terre Noir.” First we load up the pick-up (overload is more accurate- Papa Rusty makes able-bodied adults get out and walk- we’ve had 38 in the back-picture a Haitian boatlift) and drive up the road as far as the truck will go. The road is not good- dirt road filled with washes from past rain...

Use your ox goad!

Pastor Phillip delivered an anointed message challenging the people of Terre Noir to act out their faith, using what they have. God calls us not for our abilities, but to stick with it & just use whatever God has given us. In light of everything on the news this morning, we’re feeling especially blessed. Please be in prayer for missionaries and travellers and airport personnel everywhere. We are scheduled to fly...

New Shoes

This is Fabiola. She is a 4th grader in our school. Fabiola and the other children are very happy to get to go to school, not all Haitian children can go. It’s not easy for These children to go to school- they get up & get ready very early- before daylight- and they have no electricity to light or cook with. They have no running water in their homes to wash their face with. Most of the...
